b'Autumn Splendor Celebrates Global Cuisine for a CausePLANT-BASED DINNER RAISES FUNDS TO SUPPORT HUNGER RELIEF IN THE VALLEYThe fifth annual Autumn Splendor Plant-Based Dinner was held on November 12 at the Eastwood Event Centre, bringing together supporters for a multi-course, globally inspired plant-based meal benefiting Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley. The event continued its tradition of showcasing creative plant-based cuisine while raising critical funds for hunger-relief efforts.Guests enjoyed a thoughtfully curated menu inspired by harvest celebrations from around the world. The evening featured Korean vegetable jeon, Dominican mofongo with roasted mushrooms, Liberian-style jollof rice, German vegan schnitzel with red cabbage and spaetzli, and a Dutch-inspired mini apple pie. Each course was paired with a complementary wine, creating a memorable and immersive culinary experience. Dancers from Fred Astaire Dance Studio graciously donated their time, performing a dance representing each country and enhancing the evenings global theme.Over its first four years, Autumn Splendor generated more than $123,000 in support, helping Second Harvest provide over 617,000 meals to local families.
