Our Holiday Gift Guide

mcconell marketing holiday gift guide

SIX DAYS left until Christmas! If you’re still wrapping up holiday shopping (like most of us in the McConnell Marketing office), a few gifts offered by some of our wonderful clients might help.

GIFT CARD DEALS

Food lovers might arguably be the easiest people to shop for. But, if you’re stuck for ideas, purchase gift cards to The Simple Greek. The Simple Greek specializes in healthy, fast-casual Greek dishes. They have delicious food you won’t feel guilty about eating after the holidays, and they’re currently running a promotion: Buy at least $40 in gift cards and get a free pita or bowl.

HOLIDAY PARTY CATERING

For upcoming holiday parties, stop by a local Sparkle Market (see locations here) and pick up one of their deli, fruit, veggie or dessert trays. You can also stop by Sparkle for a variety of both grocery gift certificates and retail gift cards. For more foodie gift ideas, take a look at this blog post from Sparkle.

INTERIOR DESIGN GIFT CERTIFICATES

If you have a friend or family member looking to renovate or redecorate a room of their house, give them a head-start with a gift certificate for services by local interior design firm, Shabby Chateau. Based in Youngstown, Shabby Chateau specializes in residential interior design and styling, staging, consulting, personal shopping and accessorizing. Check out their portfolio here.

FITNESS CLASSES

The odds that your friends and family want to exercise more in the new year? One in 4.4 (stat taken from our new desk calendars- thanks Katie and Megan). Help your friends achieve their fitness goals in 2020 with a gift card or package to Body Temple Fitness studios, located in Boardman. Body Temple Fitness classes are fit for all ages and abilities, and combine a mix of weight and treadmill exercises.

FINANCIAL SERVICES

A financial consultation from Living Stone Wealth Management could mean a lifetime of smart and secure financial decisions for your loved ones. Living Stone Wealth Management can help with investment management, financial planning, retirement plan selections and insurance alternatives. Contact Living Stone for more details.

MAKE A DONATION

If you have a friend or family member that “has everything,” make a donation on their behalf, rather than buying a material good they don’t really want or need. We work with several local non-profit organizations, all with amazing causes.

  • Broadway Recovery Services provides safe, structured sober housing for men in the Youngstown area struggling with drug or alcohol addiction. In the midst of the nation’s drug epidemic, their goal is to positively reconnect participants with their families and communities. Along with the cost of housing, Broadway Recovery Services must also cover the cost of frequent drug testing and treatment programs.

  • The Arc of Mercer County is a leading provider of services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This organization works diligently to promote human rights, provide residential services and create employment opportunities for those with disabilities.

  • Brown Horse Projects spreads the love of Christ through mission projects that focus on water, art, music and medicine in Haiti and the Dominican Republic. Donations go towards the cost of necessities for their mission trips and recently opened medical clinic in Haiti. Read more about Brown Horse Projects’ cause.

GIFT OF TRAVEL

For the traveler in your life, consider a gift card or package to their favorite hotel or resort. Gift a whiskey tasting experience at Hutton Hotel in Nashville, treat your loved ones to a spa day at Mandarin Oriental, New York or surprise them with a gift card to the renovated Rod ‘n’ Reel Resort in Chesapeake Bay. For more unique hotel locations, visit our website and check out a few properties we work with!
