We’re thrilled to share some fantastic news with you: McConnell Marketing has been acquired by long-time colleagues Carson Lisko (right) and Deanna Clement (left). This milestone, achieved in June of this year, marks an exciting new chapter in our journey, driven by strategic expansion plans and a steadfast commitment to our core values of integrity, creativity, service and social responsibility.
Maintaining Our Legacy
Under this new ownership, McConnell Marketing will proudly retain its well-established brand name while embarking on a journey of growth and innovation. Carson Lisko, speaking about this venture, shared her enthusiasm, saying, “Our predecessors, Katie Swain and Megan Magnetta, have built an agency that aligns perfectly with our vision and values.” Carson and Deanna, as equal partners, are eager to expand our national reputation in the hospitality industry and ensure long-term stability through diversification into other sectors. Specifically, they are targeting start-up companies in Northeast Ohio and Western Pennsylvania, offering services in branding and digital identity creation.

Founded in 1991 by Mark McConnell, a former luxury hotel Director of Sales and Marketing, McConnell Marketing has garnered a national reputation over its 32 years in business. We’ve had the privilege of serving some of the most prestigious names in the hospitality industry, including Ritz-Carlton Hotels and Resorts, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, InterContinental Hotels and Resorts, as well as numerous independently owned and operated hotels. Our services encompass creative services, design, branding, content development, digital marketing, print/web production, event promotion, social media marketing, and marketing research. Our commitment to excellence has been unwavering and under the new ownership, we intend to continue delivering outstanding results for our clients.
A Bright Future Ahead
Katie Swain and Megan Magnetta, former owners of McConnell Marketing, have made a thoughtful choice in passing the torch to Carson and Deanna. Katie Swain emphasized their commitment to making a positive impact, stating, “Deanna and Carson were logical choices to lead McConnell Marketing because of their experience and talent in digital production and also because of their compassionate hearts.” Megan followed this statement, sharing, “Katie and I will work over the next few months alongside Deanna and Carson to ensure a smooth transition for our clients. McConnell Marketing was built on the values of open, honest communication and maintaining strong relationships. I believe we’ve survived 32 years as a small business by upholding these values. We’re all working together to ensure the same will be true moving forward.”
