Challenge

Founded in 1983, Believers Church had grown into a vibrant multi-campus church with deep roots in its community. After nearly 20 years without a rebrand, the church needed a refreshed identity that honored its established presence and loyal congregation while appealing to the next generation. This church rebrand had to feel familiar to long-time members, yet forward-looking enough to inspire new audiences. With strong community buy-in already in place, the new identity needed to balance tradition with innovation while reflecting the church’s mission of outreach and connection.

McConnell Marketing led the church through a complete rebrand, starting with a redesigned logo and a comprehensive brand guide. The new identity blends clean, modern design elements with a warm, approachable feel to mirror the church’s welcoming atmosphere. Along with visual updates, we refined the brand voice to ensure all communications are inviting, consistent, and mission-driven. In addition to launching the rebrand, we continue to provide ongoing marketing support, designing sermon series graphics, promotional materials, signage, and website updates that keep the brand vibrant and cohesive across every touchpoint.

Alternate Logos for Departments

To support the church’s diverse ministries and programs, we created a full suite of alternate logos, over 30 variations in total, customized for individual departments. Each departmental logo maintains the core design elements of the main church logo, ensuring brand unity, while incorporating unique identifiers such as ministry names or color distinctions. This approach allows each ministry to express its specific identity while still being unmistakably part of the larger Believers Church family. By providing these variations, the church can maintain brand recognition across all areas of communication, from youth ministry events to community outreach programs.

Logo Usage Guidelines

A dedicated section of the brand guide outlines proper logo usage, giving the church’s internal team clear direction for maintaining consistency across all platforms and applications. These guidelines cover everything from sizing and spacing to color application, ensuring the logo retains its integrity and impact in every use. By providing this resource, we empowered the team to apply the brand confidently in-house while preserving its visual strength.

Guiding Brand Voice

As part of the rebrand, McConnell Marketing guided Believers Church through the process of defining a clear and consistent brand voice. We worked closely with their leadership to identify the tone, style, and messaging approach that would resonate with both long-time members and new audiences. Our direction provided a framework for how the church communicates across all channels, ensuring every message aligns with its mission and feels authentic to its identity. The result is a set of guidelines that empower the church’s team to write with confidence and maintain a unified voice across platforms, from printed materials to digital content.

Updated Volunteer Uniforms and Nametags

To extend the new brand into in-person experiences, McConnell Marketing designed volunteer uniforms and nametags that aligned seamlessly with the updated identity. We selected and sourced shirt styles that were both comfortable and durable for regular use, then incorporated the refreshed logo and color palette to ensure brand consistency. In addition to design, we coordinated the production process from start to finish, delivering ready-to-wear pieces that helped volunteers present a polished, welcoming presence across all campuses.

Redesigned In-church Collateral

As part of the in-church printed collateral update, we redesigned essential materials such as envelopes, letterheads, and new member resources. The goal was to create a cohesive visual package that reflects the refreshed brand at every touchpoint. Each piece now feels connected to the overall identity, ensuring consistency whether someone receives a mailed letter, picks up a resource in the lobby, or engages with other printed materials.
