5 of the Most Unique Hotels on the Planet
The best part of luxury hotel marketing ? All of the amazing and unique properties we get to work with! Across the globe, hotels go above and beyond to make a memorable experience for their guests. Here’s five unique properties that definitely made it onto our bucket lists.
You’re A Wizard, Harry
Wizards and muggles alike will geek out over the Wizard Chambers at the Georgian House Hotel in London. Be transported to the wizarding world of Harry Potter as you visit the authentic replica of Hogwarts. Hidden behind a bookcase door, curious guests walk through portrait-lined, candle-lit passageways. The Georgian House Hotel does an amazing job capturing all the fine details, like stained glass windows, stone walls, cauldrons and four-poster beds with velvet curtains. At the bar, try the Wizard Cocktail Experience. Guests can concoct their own potion and cast spells under the watchful guidance of the head Wizard. They also offer mocktails for those who aren’t 21 yet. After your magical night, wake up to a complimentary home-cooked traditional English breakfast. The hotel also offers a couple other themed rooms like their Victoria Classic and Belgravia Boutique rooms.
Winter is Coming
Game of Thrones fans’ hearts will melt when they visit Finland’s Lapland Hotels SnowVillage. Over 44 million pounds of snow and 670,000 pounds of crystal-clear ice are used each year to create the SnowVillage. Last year, they went with the HBO series, “Game of Thrones” and it was such a big hit that they recreated the theme for this year. The hotel is equipped with an iron throne and a very realistic-looking dragon. With a (hotel-provided) warm sleeping bag and thermal wear, guests sleep in rooms amid the beautiful ice sculptures. Although it’s fun, the hotel suggests only staying one night in the ice igloos and spending the other nights in one of their cozy cabins. Take a peek at all of their accommodations here. Guests can spend their day on snowmobile, husky and reindeer safaris to explore the snowy terrain. They also offer a three-hour ride at night to view the Northern Lights.
Home of the Long Necks
Who wants to eat breakfast with giraffes? That’s right, Giraffe Manor by The Safari Collection is an exclusive boutique hotel set in the Langata suburb of Nairobi, Kenya. They have a herd of Rothschild’s giraffes that visit the hotel in the morning and evening. Guests are encouraged to take a guided walk in the sanctuary and meet a baby elephant at the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. At the end of the day, afternoon tea is offered on the terrace as the sun sets behind the Ngong Hills. Giraffe Manor is operated like a family home and has fully-inclusive rates. This means all meals, most drinks (house wines, beers and spirits), laundry, Wi-fi access and entry into the AFEW Giraffe Centre are all included. Added perk: they offer a car for excursions around town. Take a walk through the grounds with their virtual 360 tour.

Did Someone Say Giant Tequila Barrels?
Yes! And they’re not for holding one of the best drinks around…but for sleeping in. It seems crazy, but Matices Hotel de Barricas is one the most luxurious and instagrammable properties in the world. Located in Jalisco, Mexico, it’s situated on a fully operational agave farm. Guests can join in on bottling their own spirits and experience agave harvests. Within walking distance are Casa Noble’s distilleries. Here, guests can taste and sample their certified organic tequila. Each barrel is decorated in authentic Mexican décor and is equipped with air conditioning. The hotel restaurant has domed ceilings and is furnished with barrel seats and wooden tables. During the day, visitors can go horse riding around the property to see everything the agave farm entails.
