Race to Recovery
During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, McConnell Marketing was challenged with developing a virtual campaign to increase donations to Broadway Recovery Services. In an effort to make connections with people while social distancing was a main priority, BRS hosted their Race to Recovery Virtual 5K event, where participants could register online and run on their own time to raise money to offset housing costs for residents of Broadway. The project consisted of an Eventbrite page, poster design, press release, email blast and a social campaign. Race to Recovery managed to raise a grand total of $840 at the campaign’s end.

Helping Hands Tree
Broadway Recovery Services hosts an annual Helping Hands Tree promotion, where members of the community can help fulfill the needs of Broadway Recovery Services’ residents and their families for the holiday season. As residents of the Broadway Recovery Services program are in sober living housing, having new items like coats, boots, bedding and more helps dimmish the overall cost of these necessities and gets each individual set up for life after the program. McConnell Marketing handles social content, posting and custom graphics for the promotion, updating and maintaining the items needs list, crafting a special e-blast and more depending on the amount of donations received during the promotional period.
Helping Hands Tree

Youngstown- and surrounding-area residents are invited to bring their classic cars and be entered to win an award, eat at a local restaurant and participate in Broadway’s many activities during the day’s event. McConnell Marketing established and secured local sponsorships, crafted a media-savvy press release, social media content with custom graphics and a specialized-eblast. We also stepped outside the box and joined many Facebook groups surrounding car shows to get the word out, ensuring a successful turnout for the first event.
