Broadway Recovery Services, a nonprofit dedicated to providing safe, supportive recovery housing, wanted to elevate its digital presence to better connect with residents, alumni, and community partners. McConnell Marketing has partnered with Broadway since 2020, developing marketing materials for social media, newsletters, and event fundraisers. As the organization grew, so did the need for a refreshed approach that reflected its expanding programs and growing impact.
While Broadway’s mission and values were clear, its marketing needed greater consistency and focus across channels to tell a cohesive story. The challenge was to evolve their communication strategy in a way that honored their grassroots beginnings while positioning them for sustainable growth and community engagement.
Solution
Building on years of collaboration, McConnell Marketing deepened its partnership with Broadway Recovery Services by implementing a three-part approach focused on storytelling, engagement, and clarity. The team designed a new website to reflect Broadway’s mission and programs, providing an easy-to-navigate experience for residents, supporters, and referral partners.
On social media, McConnell refined the ongoing content strategy that had been in place since 2020, introducing a 50/50 mix of inspirational content and short-form reels highlighting client stories. This authentic blend of hope and real-life impact encouraged meaningful community interaction. The team also continued managing two monthly newsletters—one for their recovery homes and one for the clubhouse—ensuring clear, consistent communication that inspired readers to get involved and stay connected.

Facebook content interaction increased by 297% since 2024.
Instagram content interaction increased by 100% since 2024.
Post engagement between August and October 2025 totaled 8,304, a 100% increase.
Newsletter Performance
McConnell’s redesign of Broadway’s monthly newsletters introduced a clean layout and consistent storytelling style. The improved visuals and stronger calls to action resulted in significant growth in engagement year-over-year.
