WILLARD INTERCONTINENTAL DC HOLIDAY NEWSLETTER

Written, designed and produced for “America’s Hotel.” The Willard InterContinental Washington has been the focal point for elegant dinners, meetings, and gala social events for more than 150 years. An institution, this grand hotel has hosted almost every U.S. president since Franklin Pierce in 1853. On August 28, 1963, the Reverend Martin Luther King finished his famous “I Have A Dream” speech while a guest at the Willard. Other notable guests have included Charles Dickens, Buffalo Bill, David Lloyd George, P.T. Barnum, Lord and Lady Napper, and countless others. Walt Whitman mentioned the hotel in his works; and Mark Twain penned two books here in the early 1900s. Throughout the ages, no phrase has raised eyebrows like “I’m staying at the Willard.”.

That said, the Willard extends holiday offers, events and packages like no other. This year’s newsletter format was an 8-page self-mailing booklet (in-line with brand spec) and was printed on recycled paper by one of only 7 printers in the United States to print with a waterless process. All this very important to the Willard who was recently awarded the International Hotel & Restaurant Association’s Environmental Award for Sustainability. The Willard continues to focus on their sustainability program entitled, “Willard InterContinental – The Next 100 Years.” The holistic plan is comprised of numerous interwoven sustainable projects designed for a luxurious urban hospitality experience in harmony with social and ecological consciousness.

THE ST. REGIS WASHINGTON, D.C. HOLIDAY CARDS

The St. Regis Washington DC wanted to share their holiday greeting with their guests and clients. McConnell Marketing designed a holiday card and envelope set that was printed on a classic Feltweave stock.  The holiday card featured the exterior of the hotel and a warm wish on the inside with room for a handwritten note.

INTERCONTINENTAL CHICAGO HOLIDAY PARTY PERKS EBLAST

With over 42,000 square feet of function space, it’s essential the InterContinental Chicago share their holiday party package benefits and options with as many potential guests as possible. McConnell created a simple email blast (adhering to brand standards, of course) for them under $500. And if memory serves us correctly, timing was tight! project completed in less than 24-hours.

HILTON GREENVILLE HOLIDAY EVENT FLYER

This represents just one of many simple, affordable, easy holiday promotional products we’ve done. It’s small. 4×9 so it will fit easily into standard envelopes for piggyback distribution in pieces the hotel already sends out—invoices, confirmations, letters, contracts. It’s affordable. TAJ BOSTON HOLIDAY NEWSLETTER

Taj Boston produced an enticing 16-page newsletter promoting their holiday packages, event facilities, seasonal dining traditions and on-site happenings. While they opted for print-only production since their email database was not up to snuff, a digital component or variation would be a recommended (and affordable) additional.
